BBI’s published speech-collection evidence is an eight-language code-switching project from 2026. It involved more than 600 one-hour interviews and 1,200 participants.

BBI’s localisation work spans 70+ languages through voice-over recording, dubbing and lip-sync. A different project delivered voice-over for internal service videos in 20 languages.

Those numbers describe different project categories. They are not combined into a claim that every speech data collection can automatically cover 70+ languages.

Does BBI collect speech in 70+ languages?

The verified 70+ figure belongs to BBI’s localisation work. The published speech data collection covered eight languages. A new collection’s language reach must be assessed from its exact participant and production requirements.

Can BBI produce code-switching interviews?

Yes. The 2026 project used code-switching interviews across eight languages at a scale of more than 600 one-hour sessions.

Does BBI create translations and scripts?

That must be defined per project. In the published code-switching collection, the interview scripts and translations were supplied to BBI rather than created by BBI.

What other multilingual production is evidenced?
